Yu Kang, M.M. (China), L. Ac., Dipl. C.H., Dipl. Ac., M.S. Nutrition, M.S.
Dr. Kang finished her Traditional Chinese Medicine training in China with her Master of Science in Clinical Neural Science from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the most respected research institutes for Chinese Medicine in China. She then studied and trained at Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Master of Science in Nutrition in 2002. Professor Kang had clinical experience as an Internist in the Neurology Department at Xi Yuan Hospital in Beijing for five years, specializing in stroke, diabetes, and hypertension. She was also a nutritionist for two years at the Affiliated Hospital of Harvard Medical School and St. Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta. Professor Kang is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Georgia and holds dual diplomates in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from NCCAOM.

Ju He, M.S.O.M., M.D. (China) L.Ac., Dipl. Ac, Dipl. C.H. 2006)
Professor He graduated from the Capital Institute in Medicine (China) from the M.D. program. He also pursued and obtained a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston. He has twenty years of experience in research and clinical work in allopathic medicine. Professor He specializes in the areas of cancer, insomnia, hypersomnia, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, vertigo, gastro-esophageal reflux, constipation, fibromyalgia syndromes, Bell’s Palsy, sinusitis headache, and sciatica. He also serves on the research staff at Emory University. |

Yuanlin Wei, M.M. (China), L. Ac., Dipl. Ac.
In 1987, after three years of participating in a residency program, Yuanlin Wei obtained her Master of Medicine Degree at the China Academy of Traditional
Chinese Medicine in Beijing, which is the top ranked institution in the TCM field. She engaged in clinical practice and research during and after her graduation from the Academy, and has participated in several national-level clinical research projects sponsored by the Chinese Government. She is a member of both the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Alliance and of The China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion. Her specialty is gynecology (infertility, cancer, PMS, menstrual disorder, etc.), and she is interested in pain management, allergies, stress, anxiety management, depression, strokes, and immune system disorders. Professor Wei taught at the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, Florida before coming to Edgewood College of Georgia. In addition to being a professor at Edgewood, she serves as Program Coordinator of the Oriental Medicine Program. |

Zhen Hao, M.M. (China), L. Ac., Dipl. Ac.
Professor Hao is a graduate of Beijing University in Beijing, China. She completed
both her medical degree and her Master of Science Degree in Medicine, specializing
in Pediatric Internal Medicine and Gynecology. Professor Hao had both clinical and teaching responsibilities at the First Teaching Hospital of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from 1990-93. She served as a doctor and a director at the Hospital of Beijing College of Acupuncture and Orthopedics from 1993-98, and has taught many western practitioners who studied in China. Professor Hao has published articles in Chinese provincial and national journals, has contributed to the national standard textbook for Chinese medical schools, and has accumulated over 800 hours of instructional time and experience. Her third language, after Chinese and English, is German. |

Yong Q. Luo
Professor Luo is an expert professor in Moxabustion. Dr. Luo graduated from the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (China) in 1983. This Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program includes six years of formal training (five years academic and one year post-graduate) in the practice of acupuncture, Tui Na (Chinese massage) and herbology. After graduation, he accepted an invitation to join the staff of Sichuan Province United Association of Medicine, and he spent thirteen years working in its affiliated hospital. Over the past nine years, Dr. Luo has practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine in the United States using acupuncture, tui na, and herbs. Dr. Luo’s clinical applications have been directed toward a multitude of conditions including motor system, internal medicine, and mental diseases, as well as gynecological disorders and obesity. In 1998, Dr. Luo joined Morehouse School of Oriental Medicine in Atlanta where he did glaucoma research in the field of acupuncture. In 1999, he co-authored a paper titled Naxolene Antagonizes the Electro Acupuncture Induced Ocular Hypotension. It produced significant results in the field of glaucoma research.

Katherine Volk, L. Ac., Dipl. Ac.
Katherine Volk is an experienced acupuncturist and body worker, who
specializes
in musculoskeletal disorders and patients with compromised immune systems. She
incorporates mind and body techniques, such as kinesiology, somato-emotional release, Upledger Cranio-Sacral, and acupuncture, into her work. She received her Diplomate in Acupuncture from the Florida Health Academy. She is a member of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association, the International Association of Specialized Kinesiology, and the Touch for Health Association.

Carrie Sun, M.D., M.A.
Professor Sun was ECFMG certified in 1998 in America, and graduated from the
Capital University of Medical Sciences in China with her medical degree. Professor Sun obtained a Master of Arts degree in Medical Sociology from Atlanta University and is a senior research specialist at the Emory School of Medicine in Georgia in the Department of Urology.

Kiel Aman, Tai Ji Master
Professor Aman began his studies in the martial arts in childhood, which later led him to the study and practice of Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan. His mentor and Chinese Medicine doctor, Master Kwong Tit Fut, aided Professor Aman and allowed him to study Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan and Wudang Fighting methods, leading to the study and practice of Tai Chi. In 1993, Professor Aman entered and won the Eastern Kung Fu Championship representing the Fu Hok Tai He Morn School of Martial Arts. Professor Aman continues to teach the system as Master Kwong had taught it to him, and in addition to being an Edgewood instructor, he is the director of education at the Tai Chi Health Center in Sandy Springs where he teaches Wu Style Tai Chi/Qi Gong to the public for health and rehabilitation. |

Gurusahay Khalsa, D.C., L. Ac.
Dr. Gurusahay Khalsa has been in private practice for 26 years in Atlanta. His
specialties include acupuncture, and chiropractic and nutritional therapies. He
regularly lectures on health and healing throughout the country, and is a guest
faculty on Alternative Medicine at the Emory School of Medicine. Dr. Khalsa is
the director of the GRD Healing Arts Clinic in Sandy Springs. Dr. Khalsa serves
as a member of the Edgewood College of Georgia reserve faculty and Advisory
Board, the Georgia Composite Board of Medical Examiners, and the Acupuncture
Advisory Committee. |

MiMi Dupre, M.S.O.M., DOM, L. Ac., Dipl. Ac.
Dr. Dupre holds a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College, Santa Fe, NM and continuing education from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego, CA . While in NM, she acquired certificates in Darkfield Microscopy Live Blood Analysis, Hakomi Method Psychotherapy, Homeopathy, Biological Medicine and Applied Kinesiology via mentorships and didactic instruction. Dr. Dupre’s internship and private practice focused on cosmetic acupuncture and dermatology, HIV+ protocols, auto-immune disorders and emotional imbalances utilizing Classic and Traditional Oriental Chinese Medicine. Dr. Dupre is trained in Classical and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is an instructor of Oriental Medicine at the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts and Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health and is the creator of Acupuncture Works Atlanta + Program for HIV+ members of our Community. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Georgia. |
