CLINICAL COURSES
CLINICAL OBSERVATION - The Clinical Observation section of the program provides students with the opportunity
to assist in, and become familiar with, all aspects of an Oriental medical clinic. Students become a valuable part of the college’s clinical team. They assist interns, the
Clinic Administrator, and practitioners by performing daily operational functions. The
purpose of Clinic Observation is to help students begin to see how patient data is collected,
analyzed, and put together to form an Oriental Medicine diagnosis.
Observation will also help students attain a working vocabulary of Oriental Medicine
terms, as well as teach them how to critique cases.
CLINICAL INTERNSHIP - During two academic years of study and practice, students are challenged
and refined by treating actual patients in Clinical Internship.
Students are guided in developing and maintaining the highest standards
of professionalism and responsibility for patients until such standards
become habits.
INTERNAL MEDICINE CLINIC - Internal Medicine Clinic offers an internship in the application of Chinese Herbal
Medicine. These courses are similar in scope to the Clinical Internships described
earlier, but their primary focus is on the prescription of herbal medicines.
